Why are triple/double/quadruple point races important?
The Northeast Regional Series counts points for the best 12 races, but they are distributed into 4 categories:
5 Single Point Races
2 Double Point Races
2 Triple Point Races
3 Quadruple Point Races.
While you only need 10 races to enter into the Championship and earn a ranking, the TOP REGIONAL RIDERS will likely have points for ALL 12 races. To compete for a skinny digit, you first need to get at least one race in each of the 12, then work toward improving your points from there. New for 2010, the NBL provided LOCAL TRACKS wil the oppurtunity for you to get most of your TOP QUALIFYING spots by racing the LOCAL SCHEDULE. VMP-BMX and Richmond BMX partnered this year to give you more than enough oppurtunity to get all your regional points and improve on them by racing between the 2 tracks! Ask a local track official to point you in the right direction to learn how YOU (yes, even brand new racers!) can compete for TOP RANKINGS in the Regional and Local Track Series!
